About glass blocks
Glass blocks have been around since the early 1800s, when they were solid, handmade products. The first machined blocks appeared on the market in 1902 and fully mechanised production of glass blocks started around 1930. The celebrated constructions of the 20th century such as The Glass Pavilion, Cologne built in 1914 and the 1932 House of Glass, Paris,  to contemporary works such as the 2001 Maison Hermés in Tokyo and the Deusto Library in Bilbao built in 2008, demonstrate that glass blocks are truly a beautiful and timeless product.

With technological innovation and the development of the best installation systems, the glass block has evolved into a sophisticated, high-quality architectural and interior design product with many practical benefits for internal and external applications.
