Glass blocks are available in a range of fire-rated classifications: from -/60/- to 90/90/90 and are used in floors and walls which are required to be fire resistant by the National Construction Code (NCC). The -/90/- glass blocks are bullet proof and are used in banks, prisons and detention centres as well as areas requiring additional security measures.
Adelaide Glass Blocks is very excited to announce that its range of certified fire-rated products has been expanded to include the Pegasus range of glass blocks. Tested in accordance with AS 1530.4-2005 the CSIRO found that the Pegasus blocks achieve a fire resistance of FRL -/60/-. This means that clients are now able to choose from a wider range of colours, patterns and finishes for their fire rated projects.
